Superstol Cabin Door Latches or Handles

Lacking physical courage as I do, I was wondering if anyone had a solution for much more secure door locking, please? My door flew open and once was enough. I saw that someone posted about making a detent by putting a groove in the door sill. That would help, but with the door pushed inwards by the wind, the standard latch does not have to touch the door sill at all. I would like a much more positive latch. At least when a 172 door opens, the wind pushes it back. Thanks!
