Taking Delivery of Virus SW 100
After flying the Virus Light Sport for the past year, I have purchased a brand new Virus SW 100. Would appreciate reading about configurations of other Pipistrel aircraft. Here are the specs of mine:
Experimental Glider Registration
Rotax 912iS Fuel Injected Engine
Nose Wheel Model
147 ktas (Manufacturer tests of my aircraft topped out at 156 ktas at level flight)
Large Instrument Panel
Dynon Skyview SV1000 w/Autopilot
Ballistic Parachute System
Side Baggage Door
Constant Speed Propeller
Steam Gauge Airspeed Indicator and Altimeter
NAV and Landing Lights
iCom A210 Radio and Garmin Transponder
Airbrakes
I have an iPad Mini equipped with Garmin Pilot (and numerous other apps) with ADS-B and Weather.
I plan on using the aircraft for a decent amount of cross country flying with my wife and to eliminate some long road trips and visits to my kids in a few towns in Texas.

Update on delivery. The aircraft is being shipped from Slovenia (where it is manufactured) to port in Houston. The route went from Slovenia by truck, to a port on the Slovenia/Italy border on the Adriatic Sea. From there to Egypt, then to Spain, and on to Houston.
So far, the trip started the last week of January, and it is currently the first week of April, so I make that out to be about 9 weeks. The aircraft is due in Houston on April 4th. Then it must pass through customs and then is sent via common truck carrier to San Antonio (I live just outside San Antonio). Will keep everyone posted on the process including getting the aircraft registered and FAA certified.

The aircraft arrived today in the container. We removed it and installed the wings and horizontal stabilizer on the tail. Next up is the FAA inspection for the Airworthiness Certificate.

All done!
I now have my Airworthiness Certificate and take my first flight tomorrow, weather permitting!

I think this "Section" is going to get boring fast.... If it doesn't crawl to a halt first...
I thought you were going to BUILD the plane... 2 days wasn't what I had in mind...
