Really. My Highlander is still intact. I'm now hoping to fly it in June. After the FAA inspection I had to stop work as I had other pressing Work needs to address. The plane was not finished on the refinements. Doors, Cowling, Turtle-deck. When the work chores were over it was too cold to work in my hangar. I'm starting again this week.

That is exactly where I am. I got it signed off and then had to catch up on 9 years of stuff I hadn’t been doing around the house. And I can’t believe how hard it was to find somebody to fly a tail dragger with for currency.
Then the field had water running across the middle of the runway until last week, but it will probably rain for the next 6 weeks here in Maine because mud season. To everybody who says “Maine is beautiful, I’d love to live there” I say “visit some time other than the two decent weeks in august.”
Hopefully first flight next month...
