Close -up pictures of the Wing attachments...
.
These are welded completely....
Multiple small passes are best.... It's stronger...
I hope your welding skills are good when you get to these...
Your life depends on it...

I Modified the lower ears on these mounts... By putting a radius on them...
The Wing tips can rest on the table, while I connect the wing to the fuselage.

Re: (8) Buttercup Fuselage (Mike)
Hey Guys,
After blasting the tail area... I repaired a couple "pin holes" on some welds...
I sprayed the blasted area with Epoxy Primer...
When I primed the wing parts , I used White Primer...
But it was hard to tell where I was when I painted White Epoxy Paint...
Now , I changed to Gray Epoxy Primer...
But it's hard to tell what was primed on the Blasted Metal.
Here's some pictures.
Top one - Blasted Metal
Lower Two - Primed Metal

Hey Guys,
My suction sandblaster seems pretty slow...
Today I bought a pressurized blaster.
Hopefully it'll speed things up a little... a lot more blasting to go...

Hey Guys,
I bought a BETTER sandblaster...
It's the 110 lb pressurized one from Harbor Freight.
Wow... What a difference.
I've got the Fuselage Blasted... I need to re-weld some spots.

Re: (8) Buttercup Fuselage (Mike)
Hey Guys,
Today , I shot the whole Fuselage with #100 White Epoxy...
Man is my shoulder sore...
I had the Fuselage upside down and on the ground...
Then raised the front on a horse...
After everything was shot in that position...
I flipped it and finished it in the upright position...
I think it turned out pretty good... It'll be curing for a few days til I get back to it...
.
Here's some pix

PS I balanced the Fuselage on a Scale... As of now , it weighs Exactly 90 lbs
I didn't weigh it Before Blasting and Painting...

Hey Guys,
.
Here's some close-ups of Clusters...
This is about 5 days after I finished shooting the color coat...
I was surprised how "wet" the paint "looked"...
It also has a "Powder Coat" look... but "way" Cheaper
