Re: LSA tips
One might possibly be able to build a LSA vision by using the fold a plane fuselage saving 1/3 to 1/2 its weight. Probably, you would have to build the longer span 26 foot something wing with the spar carbon rods and a foot and a half wingtips and not taper the wing from the roots to the tips, for more wing area Also, one may need to go to a non laminar, low speed, higher lift airfoil shape like the GA [general aviation airfoils] Harry Riblett has just for these purposes. Also, the wing could be rigged with full span flaperons to add a little more wing camber to make the 51.75 mph clean stall speed at 1320lbs gross weight. One of the lighter engines are probably a must, also.
