Weight and Balance of Bearhawk

Post by haribole »

Hello

I am very new to this forum and to aviation and hoping to get some advice and education of a design choice with mounting a header tank and batteries on my plans built 4 place bearhawk.

The Eggenfellner H6 package I am using is coming out to be at about 480lbs, and Bob borrows, the designer of bearhawk, recommends a max engine weight of 400lbs. Now that I have already bought the engine package, trying to make sure that the weight and balance and c/g limits are not upset by placing a header tank and dual PC680 batteries just behind the baggage compartment.

Not sure where to start with this exercise.

Thanks for help in advance.
