Con-caved... More foot room and Channels fuel better.
I need to make Blocks for the Void under the Tank/Strap area.
Just for better support when full of fuel.
Probably pine ?

I'm following the Fuel system Jim Clement uses...(II think this picture is ONE of his planes)
No fuel pump , Gravity feed
.
I bought the fittings I need for shut-off valve , fuel drain/sample and fuel filter
From there I needed a Bulkhead "Through" fitting...and I used a reducer to the Carburetor

Number 8AN was a good size to drop from 1/2" npt
I kept 8AN all the way to the carb and reduced it to 6AN
I would have rather done it at the firewall.
But I would have had to buy another piece of SS Braid in that size.
I'm just a cheap #@%$

Things didn't go QUITE right...
But, after skipping the Fuel filter ...it fit.
I'm going to check for a screen at the carb... or I'll make one for the tank fill , Just gotta find the screen
.
In the picture you can see the Gasolator "Area"...(When sitting) The water would collect there...where the Fuel drain is.
In flight...It's a smaller gasolator...

Tip fer the day.:

When working with SS Braid and these AN connectors

..Masking tape three wraps around the SS Braid, Cut down the middle
( I use a cut-off wheel )
LEAVE the masking tape on !!! ( Or the braid will PUFF )
The fittings have a slight funnel... twist and push...
That little bit of masking tape doesn't hurt anything ( Might help )
Oh, Oil good before screwing the fitting together.

Otherwise there's a fancy plastic tool to buy for $30 bucks
(Which they pushed)...I bought it, but never used it and sent it back.
along with that Fuel filter that I couldn't squeeze in.
It had Blotchy Bluing anyway.
