Cessna T37

Post by east6008 »

Has anybody else noticed the huge oversized stab. on the Cessna T37 jet trainer? You'd almost want to call the jet a tandem wing airplane. The T37 is regarded as one of forgettable ugly ducklings, maybe because of its unbearable noise, nobody wants one on the surplus market, and I have never seen a model of it fly, But look at the curvy metal sculpture of a natural aluminum T37, a lot of work went into those compound curves. It is a very clean airplane. If I could get my hands on one, I'd extend the wings as shown in my attachment, take out the ejection seats and military equipment. Then I"d have a very efficient business jet, where I could also and shut down an engine and search for mountain wave lift.
