Modifying the 0-200a

Post by SportPilot55 »

I have an 0-200a in my Zodiac 601 and would like to improve on the HP currently at 100. The compression is 7:1 so I believe there is a place where I can improve.
Does anyone have experience with this or can advise?
thanks

Has anyone found an advantage of this engine over the Rotax 912ULS?

One way to increase hp and compression is to use the c85 pistons.  I think that the use of 100ll would be required since it will increase the compression and the risk of detonation.  The c85 pistons have the same bore but are a bit taller.  Also I seem to remember a reprofiled after market cam shaft that might be worth looking into. Have a good one Roger

yeah. Better TBO=Money, LEss complex easy to work on= save money, tons of parts to be had and many used engines=saves money, sounds like a REAL airplane engine not an RC.
