GRT Autopilot

Post by jjacky »

Hi All I'm in the process of completing the wiring and covering the fuselage. One thing I want to do before covering is install the wiring and mounts for a two axis autopilot. I have a GRT Sport EX EFIS so I'm considering using their autopilot servos but I want to check with you guys first on a number of of things.
Has anyone used the GRT autopilot system and what do you think of it.
Where did you locate your Servos.
If you have a GRT system but another autopilot who did you use.
For the roll axis did you use a capstan servo or a lever movement.
Thanks in Advance for your info.
Plan not to be the first at the scene of the accident!

I don't have the answer to your questions but I saw this recently and thought it was pretty interesting.

Here is a fairly long thread about Highlander/Super STOL autopilot installs from a few years ago. You might try sending PM's to those people.
