Lifting a SuperSTOL

Post by mac »

If any of you have good, "safe and sane" techniques for lifting a SS high enough to install 29" bush wheels........would love to hear them! Need to move the airplane to the airport and wheels and tires are pretty fundamental. Hee.

Actually, thinking more long term, probably good to build-up whatever works for regular service. Any ideas and/or pics would be much appreciated. Right now, I'm maybe half the way there with blocking, but feeling a bit queezy!

Thanks folks.

I put a piece of solid round aluminum in the axle hole and used a floor jack.

Thanks Shawn. That's pretty much what I ended up doing. Need to get a floor jack with a taller "reach" to make the task easier in the future.
