JA Cowling for Viking Engine

Post by bluemax »

I noticed on the Viking Aircraft Engine website, photos of a SuperSTOL owned by a Richard Almond from Texas. He is apparently not a member of this forum. What perked my interest was that his SuperSTOL did not have the usual Viking cowling, but pretty much looked like the typical Highlander cowling that is used by JA for the Rotax. I did not know that this cowling could be used with the Viking engine, or I would have bought one from JA instead of the one that Viking sells with their engine. The Viking cowling is sort of a, well . . . ugly duckling. Very plain.

If anyone knows of Richard Almond, please let him know I'd like to ask him about his cowling.
