Trailer for Kolb Mark III

Post by Flyboy7 »

Hi Guys,
New to the Kolb forum.  In fact, new to Kolb in general.  I will be picking up a Kolb Mark III this spring and I am looking for information on buying or building a trailer.  I was wondering how people are transporting their aircraft and whether an enclosed trailer is necessary.  If anyone has any building ideas or websites that may help me I would appreciate the info.

Here's some pictures of my trailer....I usually keep it in a Hanger during the summer...

I'm looking for a 24' Haulmark ( enclosed ) ....around 5K

Kolb Trailer

Post by Flyboy7 »

Thanks Mike.
The pics were great and showed me what I was looking for.  The trailer looks great for the short hauls.  How does it and the plane handle the wind buffet and bouncing?  I'm somewhat concerned about buffeting and road debris for longer hauls.
Alex.

I never saw this reply til 10 yrs later...

I've pulled the plane Very Long distances with this trailer. (300 miles , moved North)
Pulls like a dream.

Never had a problem
.
Never did get an enclosed trailer.
I still use the trailer for the plane and when I take off the Boom holder.
I even have a upper cage that I STILL haven't put plywood or aluminum on it.
.
