582 Coolant Temps

Post by jsada »

I have a Rotax 582 Bluehead with a (Moyes) large radiator installed on a Moyes Dragonfly.
Here temperatures are usually ISA + 20 Centigrade
I am getting up to 195 Fahrenheit degrees readings on the liquid (antifreeze-coolant)
The head temperature readings stay within limits
Isn´t this too much ?
Is it true I might have air trapped in the heads ?
Any suggestions ?

Level the engine and remove the temperature sender from the middle of the head. Coolant should then flow out of the head. Immediately replace the sender. No more air will be trapped inside the head. Your fill cap is higher than the head, right?
